Diversity and Inclusion in the workforce is not an unattainable ideal, but a series of committed actions. It is about understanding and working with differences. When done well, you can expect to reap the business and social rewards from this amalgamation of different cultures.
Dreampath understand the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce, and is taking deliberate actions to increase diversity across a number of groups within our business. We are placing considerable emphasis on increasing the number of Indigenous employees in our workforce, and by working with new and existing clients, we are aiming to break the cycle of generational unemployment. It is the greatest way we can assist in ‘Closing the Gap’. By working together with our client partners to provide employment opportunities to young Indigenous men and women, we significantly narrow the path to unemployment which is too often the choice faced by at risk Indigenous youth.
Indigenous Employment Program
The objective of our Indigenous Employment Program is to address the underrepresentation of Indigenous men and women within our workforce, while assisting our clients to meet their own Indigenous employment targets.
Our Methodology is underpinned by four non-negotiable considerations:
- All decisions should be made with the ultimate end-state being ongoing employment for the candidate.
- Education and Employment pathway should be linked to natural interest of Candidates.
- All funding obtained for the purposes of Indigenous employment should be invested in activities which lead to increased Indigenous employment.
- Our promise of a Quality Person Every Time is never compromised.
The placement of Indigenous employees is based on a six stage lifecycle which requires early and ongoing communication between Dreampath, our clients and our selected training providers.
This means when you run an Indigenous Employment Program with Dreampath, you will receive productive, high quality employees, achieve low turnover and through our self-employed Mentors, and reduce your risk associated with this Affirmative Action program.
