New to Industry Haul Truck Simulator Program
At Dreampath, we recognise that hiring and training employees who are new to the industry can be an enriching and challenging experience for both our clients and ourselves. That’s why we’ve designed a comprehensive program designed to ensure clients receive job-ready candidates prior to arriving on site.
The New to Industry Haul Truck Simulator Program includes extensive candidate screening and training centre which includes the Dreampath Haul Truck Simulator, proudly funded by the NSW Government. This approach ensures Dreampath clients have access to highly skilled and reliable employees, whilst also providing employment opportunities for First Nations Australian’s through our labour hire services.
Simulator Course
Over a two-week period, participants utilise Dreampath’s state-of-the-art simulator (a highly-detailed replica of the Caterpillar 793F haul truck), undertake select RTO theoretical training, participate in site visits and benefit from coaching in work readiness and life skills. The program ensures that all participants are equipped to commence with confidence a traineeship in Surface Extraction Operations Level III, employed by Dreampath and hosted at our client’s sites.

When placed in an active mining area, they already possess the basic skills of a haul truck and the mining operation and can concentrate on the outside mining environment, without having to worry about learning their truck control operation aswell.” – Cameron, Mining Manager.
Since commencement in July 2023 the program has been a huge success, with 35 participants securing a CERT III Surface Traineeship in the NSW Coal Mining INdustry. On the back of this success, Dreampath are continuing the program in 2024 and beyond, actively promoting diversity and facilitating meaningful connections between talented Indigenous individuals and progressive organisations. Through the Dreaming of a Better Path Program, Dreampath are Building Pathways, Launching Careers and Changing Lives.
